Michael Silla

SVP-Mission Critical COE, Skanska USA

Michel Silla is Senior Vice President for Skanska’s Mission Critical Center of Excellence (COE), which focuses on best practices for building data centers and mission critical facilities.  In his role, Michael is responsible nationally for the mission critical strategic platform dedicated to helping companies better deliver their infrastructure that is the very backbone of our technology-dependent society.

Michael is an industry veteran and thought leader focused on evolving the delivery of data centers through a “Project Solutions” approach and advocates for Collaborative Project Delivery (CPD) in order to keep pace with technology advancement and growth.  He has worked extensively with clients to transform deployment programs that provide agility for unknown future requirements as well as the creation of adaptive reuse programs for legacy facilities.   

Prior to Skanska, Michael was the mission critical national vertical lead for Balfour Beatty Construction where he was responsible for building and leading a specialized team with a project solutions platform.  While at Balfour Beatty he worked on complex projects and programs leading to the identification of solutions that transformed client outcomes.  Michael also held similar roles at Concept CSI, a specialized data center construction firm and Cosentini Mission Critical.
