Scott currently oversees all technical and engineering aspects of the Fortune 500 company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth. This includes establishing and leading J.B. Hunt’s technical vision and development while also providing leadership to ensure those technologies are used to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Scott is no stranger to the CIO role. He has led global IT strategy and defined and developed technology infrastructure, systems, and processes for several companies prior to joining J.B. Hunt. These include Tempur-Sealy, Microsoft Corporation, GE Healthcare Ltd., GE Industrial Systems, and GE Appliances and Lighting.
Scott has been recognized as one of the IT industry’s Top 50 Innovators by InformationWeek (2007) and as a Top 100 CIO by CIO magazine while at GE. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in engineering mathematics and computer science from the University of Louisville as well as an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
