FREMONT, CA: 5nine releases the latest version of its Cloud Security for Hyper-V, version 5 with extended support for broadcast traffic rules and notifications for security events.

Cloud Security for Hyper-V is a security and compliance solution designed for Microsoft Cloud OS and Hyper-V. It enables users to secure multi-tenant Hyper-V environment and provide virtual machine (VM) isolation. Protecting Hyper-V with fast, agentless antivirus, it enforces PCI-DSS, HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and more. It also provides centralized management console or System Center VMM (SCVMM) Plugin and granular user/role-level access control. The platform comes with Syslog and security information and event management (SIEM) Splunk support.

The latest features in Cloud Security for Hyper-V include: VM’s connection table; detailed and centralized view of VM’s antivirus status; firewall rules templates; multiple security groups membership; full SCVMM Logical Switch compliance; extended support for broadcast traffic rules; security settings change log for audit/compliance; notification mechanism for security events.
