FREMONT, CA: Comtrade––provider of IT infrastructure and application management and monitoring solutions recently announced that the firm is one of the first ISV partners to offer Microsoft System Center 2012 Operations Manager (SCOM) users with a freemium management pack that provides complete monitoring of the F5 environment. On the innovation front, the System Center users will be able to access the free Management Pack (MP) through the SCOM console. They can improve visibility into the health and performance of F5 BIG-IQ, including CPU, memory, disk storage, network interfaces and basic health information for BIG-IP appliances managed by BIG-IQ.

The Comtrade Management Pack for F5 BIG-IQ enables IT teams to completely monitor and manage BIG-IQ and BIG-IP devices in the context of business critical applications and infrastructure. It integrates F5 deployment into the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), offering a holistic operations gist and proactively spots complications even before the tenants are affected.

"System Center Operations Manager users are looking for a management pack that will provide deeper insights into the F5 environment, and as one of the first partners in this freemium program, Comtrade is providing those insights free of charge," said Simon Taylor, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Comtrade. "The F5 MP is one of many native plug-ins that Comtrade offers to SCOM users to enhance the F5 experience and bridge performance data from multiple platforms into one easy-to-use interface. We are looking at ways to develop more intelligent management packs that can be leveraged within other areas of Microsoft System Center.”

Specializing in the fields of software solutions, system integration and hardware distribution, Comtrade makes the freemium F5 MP accessible to SCOM users under the Partner Solution section emerged in Spring 2016.

“Microsoft is always looking for innovative ways of integrating with partner ecosystems to deliver solutions to System Center customers,” said Michael Leworthy, Director, Enterprise Cloud, Microsoft. "Comtrade is a valued member of the System Center Alliance Program, and continues to extend our platform to give deep insight into business critical applications."
