Red Hat Delivers Stronger Virtualization and Cloud Support through its Latest Solution
FREMONT, CA: Red Hat launches Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.5 with greater memory and computing power per host driving virtualization efficiency while setting a foundation for the enterprise cloud infrastructure. The product is available both as standalone offering and as a package integrated with the other Red Hat offerings such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat Cloud Infrastructure.
Salient features of Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.5 include: integration with Red Hat Satellite – a system management platform for security, efficiency of compliance for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and other Red Hat systems – to deliver lifecycle management and provisioning of bare-metal hosts; integration with oVirt Optimizer delivers insights for customers to make informed decisions for compute resource optimization while provisioning new virtual machines (VMs); delivers scalability and ensures minimal resource overload to physical memory access times through non-uniform memory access (NUMA) support for greater performance; improved storage domain handling enables partner technologies to deliver site recovery capabilities; support for storage domain migration between different data centers supported by Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.
The Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.5 enables administrators to deploy resources once across the cloud infrastructure. It does this by integration and shared common services with OpenStack Glance and OpenStack Neutron. It provides ways to unify the process of provisioning virtual machines for both virtual and cloud-based workloads.
