Cellat Deploys Genband/NetNumber HLR/AuC-enabled platform
PLANO, TEXAS: Genband announced that Cellact Communication, an Israel based Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) specializing in communication solutions for business, deployed an HLR/AuC-enabled platform offered by Genband in partnership with NetNumber. Tagged as ‘next-generation’, the platform would support Cellact's transition to a software-based, virtualized infrastructure.
NetNumber TITAN is a Centralized Signaling and Routing Control (CSRC) platform, providing a common, virtualized infrastructure for all signaling control, routing policy enforcement and subscriber database services in the network. Flexible signaling interworking, distributed in-memory database, Programmable logic interface are some of the features of TITAN. The company claims that the platform is deployed in more than 150 carriers across five continents and supports more than 200 billion transactions per month. Its partnership with Genband integrates TITAN, to the latter’s Intra-network Interconnect and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) which would mitigate complex multivendor interoperability and multiprotocol interworking challenges and offer rich communication services.

Having previously deployed their Q10 SBC, C3 Call Session Controller and G9 IP Gateway, Cellact is a satisfied customer of Genband. "Today's communications landscape and our growing customer base and services forces us to manage an increased signaling load while upgrading our architecture to an all-IP, feature-rich platform," said Eran Shalev, Cellact Communication CEO. "Our previous relationship with Genband, and their comprehensive solution with NetNumber, made this a simple choice." he added.
The HLR/AuC application is one of the most recent implementation the TITAN platform. The application includes an integrated software authentication center (AuC) supporting cryptographic algorithms for security. Location management, delivery of subscriber profiles and call handling data are some of its other features. "NetNumber has been integrating the TITAN platform with Genband solutions for several years in order to bring new or expanded capabilities to market," said Matt Rosenberg, NetNumber's vice president of Global Sales, Solution Design and Product Management.
