FREMONT, CA: CloudVelox, a provider of automated cloud migration and disaster recovery software reveals that has taken up its One Hybrid Cloud software to improve cloud disaster recovery (cloud DR) on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

One Hybrid Cloud software is an automated key disaster recovery process which includes the discovery to distribution of the DR environment into Amazon Web Services. It is being deployed to improve MyPoints’ Service Level Agreement (SLA) and reduce total cost of operations (TCO), reports

The MyPoints team had run a Proof of Concept (PoC) trial which involved categorization of CloudVelox One Hybrid Cloud software on systems giving them time to get accustomed to the new environment.

With the new software MyPoints’ IT team has seen a massive reduction in the time taken to manage systems and the risk of data loss allowing them to focus more on their core business. In terms of infrastructure costs, the One Hybrid Cloud software is less expensive in comparison to the previous disaster recovery (DR) model used by the company, which required utilization of two data centers with duplicate infrastructure.

"The CloudVelox platform running on AWS helped our team to establish higher levels of service, resilience and accountability, thereby reducing DR expenses, increasing protection and enhancing our ability to test our environment at will.”, says Ananth Reddy, Senior VP, MyPoints. The total costs of disaster recovery have reduced by 50 percent and the SLAs for internal customers have reduced by 24 hours, adds Reddy.
