BTI Systems to Back GSC's Economic Unlimited Bandwidth Service
FREMONT, CA : Granite State Communications (GSC) of New Hampshire telephone, fiber and Internet service provider has announced the deployment of BTI Systems' packet-optical networking portfolio. GSC has introduced the BTI 7000 Series and the BTI proNX Service Manager to deliver unlimited bandwidth and capacity while reducing costs and complexity.
"We serve businesses and consumers in Southern New Hampshire as one of the earliest independent service providers," said GSC Manager of Network Operations, Sean Purcell. "Our customers depend on us to keep pace with their rapidly growing needs for on-demand and high-performance access to information and cloud services. As such, we have to ensure we deliver the highest levels of bandwidth and capacity. With the outstanding performance of the BTI portfolio, we have been able to quickly grow our network to almost unlimited bandwidth while reducing fiber costs by one-third. Additionally, BTI provided exceptional support through turn-up, ensuring we were able to achieve our goals quickly and efficiently."
The BTI 7000 Series is the most compact, modular and easy-to-use packet optical networking system available. It was purpose-built to unify packet and optical service delivery at single platform for network-layer consolidation at the service edge. The platform simplifies network deployment and operations by integrating MEF Carrier Ethernet 2.0-certified switching, 10G WDM optical layer, and 2 Degree and 4 Degree ROADM Dynamic Optical Layer. The BTI 7000 Series architecture enables GSC with the flexibility to combine modules to capitalize on new service opportunities, with a true pay-as-you-grow approach.
Leveraging the SDN-architected BTI proNX Control software, the BTI proNX Service Manager provides GSC with a comprehensive suite of service provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools. Hence, supports rapid deployment of new resources into the network through an intuitive graphical user interface, allowing for easy completion of a wide variety of day-to-day tasks across the entire BTI portfolio.
"GSC connects enterprise and residential customers to national and international resources, leveraging the most advanced technologies," said Sally Bament, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, BTI Systems. "GSC has continued to be at the forefront of high-speed connectivity, offering customers a broad range of on-demand services.
