Buffalo's NAS Based Storage Solution to Expand System Storage Capacity

AUSTIN, TX: Buffalo Americas, known for providing external storage and networking solutions, has recently announced the availability of the TeraStation 7120r Enterprise 72 TB 2U Rackmount NAS (TS-2RZH72T12D), the industry's first enterprise-class network attached storage (NAS) model with 6 TB HGST Ultrastar He6 helium-filled drives.

This quad-core, enterprise-class NAS enables IT managers to expand their system storage capacity without adding rack storage space, power circuits or additional storage and maximizes space utilization as well as reduces total cost of ownership. Buffalo plans to launch a variety of NAS models in various additional capacities with Ultrastar He6 drives later this year.

However, this new storage model is embedded with Intel Xeon E3-1275 quad-core processor clocked at 3.4GHz. It features 8GB of DDR3 RAM, quad Intel NICs, half a dozen USB 2.0 ports, and two PCi-Express expansion slots.
