ROLLING MEADOWS, IL: Cambium Networks, a provider of wireless broadband solutions, unveils next generation access point boosting capacity and opportunity to the flagship Point-to-Multipoint (PMP) 450 platform through the use of 900 MHz spectrum.

The latest offering from the company, PMP 450i 900 MHz, provides deeper frequency propagation for Cambium Networks PMP 450 platform and facilitates a reliable link for near and non-line-of-site (NLOS) deployments. It offers 100Mbps subscriber capacity in a 20MHz channel. The solution is crafted to deliver efficient and cost effective popular media services. The reliable coverage across service areas will enable network operators to offer high speed connectivity for streaming video, voice and data services for business and residential connectivity.

The Cambium 450 platform offers broadband solutions to support disaster recovery, smart grid advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), border patrol, traffic monitoring and control and rural connectivity.

“The PMP 450i 900 MHz has the same capacity as our other PMP 450 platform radios and provides the infrastructure needed to deploy networks in non-line-of-sight (NLOS) and remote environments, greatly expanding a service provider’s reach,” says Atul Bhatnagar, President and CEO, Cambium Networks. “Providers can now upgrade their PMP 100 systems and unlock the 900 MHz capacity through our PMP 450 platform. We expect to achieve three to four times the amount of available bandwidth in the same channel size, even in the same noisy and interference-prone environments.”
