The latest mobile application offers a new way to connect with people, data privacy and protection included.

FREMONT, CA: The @ Company publishes a beta release of @buzz, a mobile application that offers an entirely new way to connect with others, data privacy & protection included. @buzz can be thought of as an alternate for current contacts apps, but it is so much more than that. Now, people can express themselves the method they need and share data beyond simple contact information. This encourages more personal, genuine, and human relationships.

When people trust that they are in control of their data, the game alters. When people know that they can securely share with others they trust, they will express themselves freely. This is what @buzz provides. @buzz directly connects people so that everyone is always up-to-date. Because all the data is end-to-end encrypted and controlled by the data owner that shares it, each person can feel secure when sharing their data. This also means that firms are responsible only for their information since others can manage what they share.

Being able to customize content in addition to conventional contact details changes the experience completely. It's a form of self-expression, where instead of publishing only one view of the world, users can share information, pictures, and status changes personalized to the people they care about most.

Personas express various aspects of the personality. Personas are rich in content and media and can change how others perceive you. Whether it be whimsical or serious, cautious or daring, private or intimate, any aspect of the personality can be shared with people that the user designates. Users can change that content at any point, automatically updating what everyone else sees.

The current app model employs walled gardens. The future on @platform is more human-centric. As one of the apps created on @platform, @buzz is a building block that subsequent @platform app developers can develop to improve their apps experience.
