CoverMyMeds'ePA Rearms RxNT's EHR Offerings
COLUMBUS, OH: RxNT recently entered into a partnership with CoverMyMeds to enhance its medical practice solution offerings by adding electronic Prior Authorization (ePA) functionality with its existing RxNT|EHR solution. The new alignment will lead RxNT to improve medical workflow through an integrated electronic health records solution along with RxNT|eRx e-prescribing solution, to stand by the ambulatory practices of current era.
RxNToffers ambulatory practitioners with an innovative practice management, EHR, and electronic prescribing solutions. Whereas, CoverMyMeds, the provider of automated medication Prior Authorization (PA) process makes medical professionals efficient by saving time and ensuring better patient care.
“Providing ePA functionality within our solutions will enable our practices to deliver quality service to their patients. RxNT is glad to be working with a proven partner like CoverMyMeds on this endeavor,” says Tom Collinson EVP, Business Development, RxNT.
The new ePA functions have a major impact on developing the required pre-approval medical procedures or services for some specified situations. Formerly, the Prior Authorization (PA) process used to be time consuming and critical where the physicians, patients and Insurers were dependent on faxes, paper and phone calls. The new ePA functionality improves medical practices by eliminating legacy paper-based PA workflow. ePA assists medical practitioners to reduce prescription abandonment and administrative waste by deploying a real-time electronic support ambience, specially for electronic prescribing.
“By integrating with CoverMyMeds, practices using RxNT will benefit from a more efficient workflow, cutting down on the 20 hours per week typically spent processing paper prior authorizations,” comments Scott Gaines, Director, CoverMyMeds.
The partnership also reveals that by the mid of 2016, RxNT will be authorized to offer the ePA functionality within its EHR and e-prescribing practices at no cost. CoverMyMeds’ effective designs on ePA functionality makes it easy to adopt for any EHR solutions. Innovative healthcare technology and the sound knowledge of ePA shapes CoverMyMeds as an ideal choice for the healthcare marketers.
