Edmentum's Exact Path to Transform Student Learning in Virginia
Minneapolis, MN: Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Education has selected Edmentum’s individualized learning solution—Exact Path—as a student growth assessment solution for students in Virginia. Exact Path will allow educators to point out valid measures of growth for each subject using adaptive diagnostic assessments to determine learners’ strengths and needs.
On the other hand, students can receive customized learning paths with mobile-optimized lessons and activities to help them build their competencies and increase student outcomes. Through Exact Path, educators also gain access to ongoing progress monitoring and reports of student performance and growth at the district, school, class, and student levels. With built in tools, educators can quickly take actions based on available data. In addition, the solution consists of supplemental standards-aligned assignable content with tools for targeted instruction as well as a grouping feature that can automate small-group planning based on data.
“Growth is a key Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) indicator of achievement that we’re proud to help Virginia educators effectively track and encourage. Exact Path’s adaptive diagnostic assessment uses a precise psychometrically valid algorithm to efficiently determine a student’s true ability score, whatever grade level it might lie in, and then calculate growth upon each successive administration,” says Dave Adams, chief academic officer of education strategy.
