Equinix Performance Hubs Now Charged with VeloCloud's SD-WAN
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA: VeloCloud Networks, provider of cloud networking services, announces the development of a reference architecture that brings Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) to EquinixPerformance Hubs. It strategically places corporate IT resources closer to end-user population in Equinix data centers, leading to increased application performance.
VeloCloud’s SD-WAN solutions enable enterprises to automate branch WAN deployments, assure performance to cloud and enterprise applications, and allow enterprise IT to roll out multiple virtual services to the branch. SD-WAN control is a cost-effective option that enables application traffic to be carried independently of the underlying transport layer, enabling flexibility, availability and performance.
The Equinix platform provides powerful services deployment location in the SD-WAN topology with optimal connections to network services and other SaaS applications. Equinix Performance Hub solutions enable enterprises by bringing applications, cloud services and data closer to employees in a geographically distributed workforce. It transforms network topologies, allowing customers to integrate different technologies where they perform best. The points of interconnection for enterprises are provided to connect directly to hybrid, private and multi-cloud environments. It effectively captures and analyzes globally distributed critical data for greater insights and intelligence.
“VeloCloud’s development of a reference architecture for connecting to enterprise Performance Hubs inside Equinix represents a key step forward for next-generation enterprise networks,” says Sanjay Uppal, CEO and Co-Founder of VeloCloud.
