HP's Integration with Intel to Enhance IoT Strategy Computing Solutions
FREMONT, CA: HP announces plans to align its IoT Strategy computing solutions, partnering with Intel to bring Intelligence closer to IoT sensors and devices .The HP Edgeline IoT Systems, the result of joint partnership to help deliver open solutions to the market while accelerating data collection and analysis.
The HPE Edgeline IoT Systems 10 and 20 sit at the network edge enables customers to aggregate and analyze data securely in real time and control devices and things. The former is designed for entry-level deployments, and the latter features for more demanding high volume deployments. The system runs with Microsoft Azure IoT Suite and also in Windows 10 IoT for a wide spectrum of industrial, logistics, transportation, healthcare, government and retail applications.
The big data applications like data streaming analytics emerges as a major IoT use case. The IoT strategy revolves around moving Intel’s computing power and data analysis to huge amounts of data gathered by IoT sensor networks. The HP labs help potential customers to piece together the components of future industrial and commercial networks of sensors and devices.
Future versions of the Edgeline solutions will incorporate HP’s Moonshot system architecture, using significantly less energy and space than typical servers.
Antonio Neri, EVP and General Manager of the Enterprise Group at Hewlett Packard Enterprise says ,“The new solutions today are important elements of our strategy of delivering more connectivity and computing power at ‘the edge,’ and helping customers maximize the value and minimize the risks from IoT at the speed of business.”
