FREMONT, CA: Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) at itsannual enterprise security conference—HPE Protect–announced the release of its new solutions architected to streamline and support the approach to intelligent security operations, DevOps and data protection. Combined with power and ease-of-use, these solutions are designed to help organizations seamlessly innovate and intuitively build security to protect, detect, and respond to the evolving threat landscape. To fulfill the need for a strategic approach to security, HPE has introduced HPE ArcSight Data Platform (ADP 2.0), HPE Fortify Ecosystem, and HPE SecureData.

“With new innovations, we are helping customers build a comprehensive and intuitive approach to security leveraging the power of big data, machine learning, and automation to proactively address risk to the enterprise,” says Sue Barsamian, Senior Vice President and General Manager, HPE Security Products, Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

The technological advances in the hyper-connected world accelerate business agility and at the same time make way for vulnerabilities that foster business risk. This necessitates secured digital transformation, which involves building security into the IT infrastructure and providing visibility and actionable insight to enable intelligence-driven security operations.

“Digital transformations are increasing productivity, but also introducing new vulnerabilities and threats that require more streamlined and powerful security measures to protect what matters most,” says Barsamian.

HPE ArcSight Data Platform (ADP 2.0) is an open architecture solution that connects HPE Security ArcSight to third-party platforms including Hadoop to bring uninterrupted visibility across the Enterprise (IT, Operational Technology, IoT, and Physical). This open architecture enables the platform to not only take data from anywhere, but send that data to any location—including HPE ArcSight ESM or third-party platforms such as Hadoop. HPE ADP 2.0 does this while delivering up to 50 percent faster search speeds. “With HPE ADP 2.0, we’re giving customers the open architecture and scalability they need to be effective in stopping threats,” says Tom Powledge, Vice President and General Manager, HPE Security ArcSight, Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

HPE’s integrated approach to security is evident through HPE Fortify Ecosystem and Fortify on Demand (FoD) for continuous application monitoring service. FoD provides ongoing discovery, scanning and runtime detection delivering visibility across the entire application portfolio. The new HPE Fortify Ecosystem is completely integrated into the DevOps tool chain, making it simpler for developers to build security into the SDLC and strengthen the security of their applications.  With the HPE Fortify Ecosystem and FoD organizations can secure their applications before, during, and after they are brought to market.

The integration of HPE SecureData with HPE Atalla Hardware Security Module (HSM) offers customers a cohesive end-to-end data security approach to protect organizations’ most sensitive digital assets. The integration ensures physical and logical data protection, offering FIPS validated hardware solution for storing and managing keys, and centralized configuration and security policy enforcement, which makes it simpler for customers to manage data protection with a single vendor contact.
