IBM and Kaltura Selected to Boost Turner's New Cloud-TV Service
ARMONK, NY: IBM and Kaltura, a provider of open source video management and delivery solutions, announce that they have been selected by Turner Broadcasting System, a cable television network operator to enhance its new authenticated on-demand cloud-TV service offered through company’s Multimedia Service Operator (MSO) partners for Latin America and Brazil.
The new multi-screen service TV cloud service leverages Kaltura’s over-the-top content (OTT) TV platform that provides all media channels over internet including audio and video without interruption of multiple-system operator in control or distribution of content. IBM provides SoftLayer cloud infrastructure to host Tuner’s new on-demand cloud TV service delivering high performance, control and scalability.
The new service facilitates television channels and video-on-demand television episodes with additional languages like Spanish and Portuguese for iOS and Android smartphone and tablet users at anywhere.
