SAN MATEO, CA: To provide developers and testers with the capability to automatically identify security vulnerabilities in mobile applications, Keynote, a Dynatrace subsidiary has recently integrated the AppDome Mobile Vulnerability Assessment with the Keynote Mobile Testing platform, the companies said. The developers and testers can directly assess the security vulnerabilities within the Keynote Mobile Testing cloud, facilitating a comprehensive application assessment.

“The advent of mobile brings to life new capabilities and convenience for consumers across a variety of use cases. However, new capabilities for consumers have also resulted in new points of attack for hackers,” said Avi Yehuda, Chief Technology Officer, AppDome. “AppDome provides a powerful suite of mobile security solutions that detect and protect against threats. Our integration with Keynote Mobile Testing will allow customers to assess applications on a wide variety of real devices and operating systems on-demand, ensuring users can safely capitalize on the promise of mobile.”

Mobile security has become one of the foremost concerns for organizations with the advent of Bring Your Own Devices (BYOD). In such a scenario, delivering high performing applications that offer functionality as well as security at rapid release cycles is proving to be the major challenge for developers. As a result of recent integration the Keynote Mobile Testing platform is improvised with new capabilities that provide customers a complete end-to-end testing solution.

“We are always looking for innovative ways to build a better product for our customers to develop and test their applications through strategic integrations, and we’re excited to begin work with AppDome,” said Howard Wilson, General Manager, Keynote Mobile Testing. “The earlier agile teams can assess security vulnerabilities in the development process, the more cost effective the remedy. With this integration, we are arming agile teams with the tools they need to confidently deploy high-performing, secure applications.”

Named as Gartner’s 2015 Cool Vendor for Mobile Security, AppDome safeguards organizations from both known and unknown attacks like man-in-the-middle, data-at-rest, phishing, pharming and tampering. Developers have the ability to directly run automated vulnerability tests via AppDome in the Keynote Mobile Testing platform without having to change any code or SDK integration, providing quick results, while also giving them the option to engage with AppDome to resolve any security issues before deployment.
