Managing Big Data Processing Easily via Kubernetes on Mesosphere DCOS

By CIOReview | Monday, January 27, 2020

FREMONT, CA: Google’s Kubernetes are now available on Mesosphere DCOS, the new operating system for the data center and public cloud. With this availability, Kubernetes pods can be directly launched from the DCOS command line interface (CLI.)

Kubernetes users can now get the additional benefits in the form of Mesosphere DCOS. Working with open source Big Data programs such as Spark, Cassandra, Hadoop, and more on DCOS platform is easy where IT teams can launch jobs on those systems from the same command line on the same cluster of machines using the same commands that are used to manage Kubernetes on any other platform.

DCOS lets projects such as Apache Kafka, Cassandra, and Hadoop to be launched from its CLI using simple commands. Along the same lines, Kubernetes pods can also be directly from the DCOS CLI without any change in the commands in managing Kubernetes on any other platform. Kubernetes pods are the smallest deployable units that can be created, scheduled, and managed. A pod can define top-level cgroup isolations providing a level of individual isolation to constituent applications.
