Now Faster Windows 10 Deployment with 1E's Nomad 6.0
NEW YORK, NY: Software lifecycle automation expert, 1E unleashes its advanced version of Nomad Windows Software Deployment tool. The industry standard software deployment managing solution now offers faster Windows 10 migration and a plethora of new features including Nomad Pre-caching, OSD Integration Enhancements, new security hardening improvements, a new release of PXE Everywhere 3.0, Endpoint Agent Installer Solution Accelerator to assist in rapid deployment of Nomad 6.0 and PXE Everywhere 3.0 agents and the Active Efficiency platform.
Nomad 6.0 comes with the ability to pre-cache all content types, be it applications, boot image, driver package, operating system images, operating system upgrade packages or task sequences, excluding Software Updates. With enhanced OSD Integration, Nomad’s Integration is simplified with both software distribution and OS deployment task sequences. It also includes windows versions 7/8/8.1/10 OS deployment scenarios.
Users get enhanced security with the new option which allows FIPS-complaint AES-256 bit encryption to be used during various peer to peer communications. Another added option that complements Enhanced security is that it allows Nomad share to be hardened by removing ‘Authenticated Users’ from the Nomad share permissions. On the other hand, the PXE Everywhere 3.0 enhances security by providing continued support for Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI)- which was first seen in PXE Everywhere 2.3.

Apart from extending support for Windows 10, 1E will also be providing support to Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager 2012 SP2 and Configuration Manager 2012 R2 SP1 (ConfigMgr) in Nomad 6.0, as well as previous releases 5.2 and 5.5.
