Okta Announces Service Extensions with Box; Securing Enterprise's Contextual Accesses

FREMONT, CA: Okta, a recognized provider of secure enterprise identity management services, is extending its alignment with Box. Okta will now be integrating with Box for supporting and securing enterprise’s contextual access management functions that include employee’s accesses via its Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) platform.  The company’s service extension with Box will help clients to manage their access to Box from mobile devices.

Box is best known as a cloud storage company that offers extended online file sharing and content management services nationwide. The partnership with Okta will enable customers with strong and secure connectivity options that will control the organization’s all known and unknown accesses. In an interview with FierceMobileIT, Arturo Hinojosa, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Okta states “We are able to pre-configure the end user's Box for EMM app. When the end user gets on their phone; they have to do zero set up. All they have to do is download Box from the company’s app store and it will automatically pre-configure the app with their user name, all of the security assertion markup language (SAML) configurations, they just have to tap Box to log in.”

Box provides enterprises with the authority to access its platform from anywhere that also includes easy view and share of files. It allows companies to securely share large files with the internal or external members, in just few seconds by using any device. The company’s services eliminates the chances of misplacing industrial data or any documents by integrating desktop, web and mobile data with Box Sync. Users are offered with the ability to access files even during offline mode. Box mobility ensures easy share of field data by quick capturing of photos and videos from the field.
