SUFFERN, N.Y: Global partnering firm PKA technologies have announced the integration of data centre assessment, architecture and upgrade solutions based on Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) products, into Zethcon’s architecture.

Zethcon is a versatile warehouse software firm which focuses mainly on Synapse, Hazmat, Cold Storage and fulfillment warehouse software. When implemented, the HPE based solutions provide a highly stable and reliable infrastructure for hosting the Synapse warehouse management software.

Combining with local HPE engineers, PKA delivers solutions that enable Zethcon to meet stringent SLAs and scale its IT environment to support its development.

“Zethcon needed to make some technology upgrades as its hosting service moved into a new phase requiring a higher level of uptime,” says Peter Katz CTO, PKA. “They were looking for guidance in determining what technologies to invest in and how to design the environment. Together, PKA and HPE developed the blueprint and deployed a tier-1, enterprise-class solution.”

Zethcon’s data center is now built upon HPE C7000 blade enclosures that are capable of hosting up to 16 HPE ProLiant BL460c Xeon Gen9 servers. That apart, an HPE 3PAR 8400-series four-node storage array creates a high-performance, ultra-reliable, highly redundant storage-area network.

“Peter and the folks from HPE here in Chicago came in and educated us. They helped us understand why we needed to rethink our systems environment from the ground up,” says Chris Oechsel, CEO, Zethcon. “Our customers are logistics and warehousing service providers, many of whom operate 24×7. We needed a platform that could deliver the performance, stability and redundancy those customers need and demand.”
