FREMONT, CA: L’Oréal, a cosmetics provider has selected Siemens’ Teamcenter product lifecycle management software to augment their engineering and manufacturing processes.

Teamcenter PLM software optimizes L’Oréal’s packaging development processes, reduces time-to-market, and improves product innovation and quality. This PLM software is deployed globally as L’Oreal’s corporate product data management system and will be used by everyone involved in the company’s product development processes.

According to Martin Rhein, CIO of L’Oréal Group Operations, Teamcenter was selected for its PLM portfolio’s breadth, adaptability to the L’Oréal Processes, Data Model requirements and user-friendly interface. “Siemens’ PLM software was selected following an extensive evaluation process which included major providers in the PLM market,” adds Martin.

Reportedly, Teamcenter helps L’Oréal to share packaging configurations and innovative ideas between different technical departments and thus reduces time and product cost.

As Chuck Grindstaff, President and CEO of Siemens PLM Software puts in “L’Oreal’s decision to standardize on Teamcenter is a welcome validation of the need for a robust, open PLM platform for the consumer goods industry.”
