Pricer Partners with Aisle411 to Provide Insightful Analytics on Customer's In-store Purchases

FREMONT, CA: Pricer, a provider of electronic shelf label systems and shelf-edge digital solutions, partners with Aisle411 to help retailers and brands in better understanding how shoppers interact with products inside stores and the products at the shelf. As part of the partnership, Pricer's electronic shelf labeling (ESL) technology will be integrated with Aisle411's product location technology.

Aisle411 integrate features that drive customer’s purchase into retailers’ mobile apps including digital in-store maps, product search and location, in-store navigation, and geo-targeted offers. It creates searchable digital store and product maps. With Aisle411’s software development kit (SDKs), developers can easily integrate maps, search, navigation, and rewards into retailer’s mobile app. The company’s patent pending indoor location platform works with existing Wi-Fi, mobile sensors, Bluetooth technology and others to allow retailers capture insights that drive sales, increase loyalty and create operational efficiencies.

Using the Pricer’s mobile shopping application, customers can optimize their shopping route and be guided in the store to easily find specific wanted products. Shoppers are indicated by flash on the ESL of the targeted promotions that are available for them. By using an Indoor GPS system to organize store geofencing, the retailer retains the control of promotion boundaries at all times. The Pricer Indoor GPS system provides monitoring and updating capacities.

By combining Pricer's innovative ESL digital solutions with Aisle411 technology, both the companies will deliver robust mobile experiences: the new solution offers new ways to acquire product location data, create navigation solutions for shoppers and engage with consumers. By locating the customer’s in-store location, the new offering will guide the shopper and optimize its shopping route. Through flash alerts, it will make customers aware of products on promotion or to employees about products which are out of stock.

Pricer’s communication platform is a combined hardware-software system built with components such as infrared wireless communication, ultra-low power displays, merchandising supports and tools and server infrastructure. It uses diffuse infrared light for wireless communication with the labels.The Pricer solution keeps track of additional inventory and product information so that retailers can intelligently manage all aspects of promotional pricing and shelf layout.

With the new mobile solution integrated into mobile apps, shoppers can now receive promotions or messages on their smartphone in the virtual areas of the store. The new combined offering will be guiding employees on the store's digital map and show them the exact location where they have tasks to carry out. The ESL flashes to indicate employees towards the products that they need to pickand its exact location. To improve in-store customer experience, interaction with customers is must. Using Near Field Communication (NFC), shoppers will be able to receive on their smartphone product information by tapping the NFC integrated ESLs with their smartphone.
