QNAP Unveils Network Attached Storage Innovations to Provide Robust Solutions

FREMONT, CA: QNAP systems, a storage solution provider, reveals a complete pack of network attached storage innovations including the new Thunderbolt 2 NAS, versatile and compact M.2 SSD NASbook, the Enterprise ZFS NAS with dual active controllers. The additional features includes network defined virtual JBOD, QPulse unified server management, Linux station, and Hybrid backup Sync. The solution was launched at the inauguration event of CeBIT 2016. QNAP also joined hands with Seagate and WD to showcase the joint solutions of QNAP NAS with wide range of HDDs.

Next generation TVS-x82T Thunderbolt 2 NAS features Intel 6th generation core processor and enhanced hardware design to improve computing power and system performance.  The TVS-82T series is also enabled with dual 10GbE ports to provide greater flexibility in delivering performance. Advanced hardware comprehends SATA M.2 SSD, dedicated 2.5 SSD trays, compartmentalized smart cooling, tool- less hard drive trays, and three HDMI ports.

Powered by Intel Celeron N3150 quad core processor, the compact TBS-453 SSD NASbook constitutes 8GB RAM and provides NAS functions with RAID protection. It also acts as a switch and share network access with multiple clients. QNAP’s ZFS enabled ES1640dc with its dual – controller’s targets mission critical business applications that demands high reliability and availability. Integrated with Intel Xeon E5 processors, ZFS-HPE hellion compatibility and fully supporting virtualization environment, it delivers “real business-class” cloud computing data storage.

The virtual JBOD (VJBOD) enhances user’s ability to mount iSCSI LUNs from up to eight NAS devices to host NAS as virtual disks.  Users can also further create virtual storage pools and use them as local disks for shares, applications, and even creating another LUN. QPulse is a centralized remote server management solution of QNAP that are designed for IT teams and depends on servers, PCs and thin clients. The solution also simplifies server management solutions and increases visibility for the health status of mission – critical servers by providing customizable dashboards.
