Riverside's MNX buys Aero Express Logistics
FREMONT, CA: In a major announcement made, MNX Global Logistics, an Amsterdam based company added another feather in its cap by acquiring Singapore based third-party logistics (3PL) provider Aero Express Logistics (AEL). The combination of the two logistic giants brings out high expectations in the aerospace cluster. “Today’s announcement marks the combination of two highly complementary and well-regarded players in the aviation logistics space,” said Paul J. Martins, CEO, MNX Global Logistics.
From past years, AEL has been using Singapore as a regional hub and playing an important role in the specialized aviation and aerospace sector. AEL has been carrying out its mainly maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) work in Singapore. With exuberant capabilities in Singapore, all the MNX’s aviation customers will get a great opportunity to grow in the Asia Pacific region through the firm. “This combination will provide MNX’s aviation customers with better access to Singapore’s growing aerospace cluster, while allowing AEL’s existing customers to tap into MNX’s worldwide network and technology platforms. Together both companies are better positioned to deliver enhanced service offerings and worldwide supply chain solutions to new and existing customers in the aviation, aerospace and MRO industries,” added Martins.
MNX has been upbeat at building a strategic global growth plan and commitment to customers in the aviation industry, and this announcement comes as one in the series of achieving the same. “This transaction with MNX will benefit all of AEL’s existing customers and they will now be able to ship and manage their entire global inventory from a single platform, and have it handled by an ASA-100 accredited company,” commented Chong Han Tsong, Founder, AEL.
With this collaboration, MNX will also have a dominant access at Singapore’s Changi Airport, particularly in the Airport Warehouse’s free trade zone. “ I am heartened to see that both MNX and AEL share the same values of quality, responsiveness and flexibility, bound by a singular and common goal of delivering extraordinary customer service for our customers,” concluded Tsong.
