Sigmetrix's New Interface Enhances CAD User Experience

MCKINNEY, TX: Sigmetrix offers new interface for CETOL 6σ Tolerance Analysis Software v9.0. This new version integrates with CETOL 6σ CAD softwares—PTC, Creo, CATIA and SOLIDWORKS and enhances ease-of-use. Sigmetrix designs, develops, markets and supports tolerance analysis solutions which also includes GD&T. “We know tolerance analysis studies are not necessarily an everyday activity so we improved the UI, the help files, added tons of tutorial videos and improved the step-by-step guidance throughout,” comments Chris Wilkes, President and CEO, Sigmetrix.

Version 9.0 offers multiple levels of assistance to its CAD system users. The intuitive technology—GD&T Advisor is an interactive solution which guides experts on the correct application of GD&T by giving messages based on the process the user or the expert is in. The context sensitive Help system is completely revamped and added with practical tutorial videos which enhances user understanding of certain steps and techniques. “As long-standing partners with both PTC and Dassault Systems our development team strives to provide a seamless working environment for our users,” says Chris.

Sigmetrix has also enhanced the usability by adding Assembly States that define which components to be added during each analysis. Additionally, CAD users need not re-do previous analyses. The latest version of CETOL 6σ automatically updates the changes made to the tolerances within CETOL. The UI was designed to simplify model creation, obtain answer, validate results, and update design requirements in the CAD models and drawings. The layout is optimized, making tolerance analysis definition easier. The results and reports provided by CETOL 6σ v9.0 offers unique visualization capabilities, eliminating the gap between design, manufacturing, and assembly departments.
