SAN JOSE, CA: Dorado Software, Inc., provider of resource, performance management and service orchestration solutions for communication service providers (CSPs), and Sonus Networks, Inc., that offers secure and intelligent Cloud communications, recently announced a joint demonstration of comprehensive service orchestration at Network Function Virtualization (NFV) World Congress 2016.

The demonstration enables CSPs to witness the proven solution that can manage, activate and orchestrate Sonus' virtual Session Border Controller (SBC) using Dorado's Redcell portfolio. The partnership offers CSPs improved service agility, quicker time-to-revenue and secure interworking for next generation IP network services and Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS). The demonstration shows a lifecycle scaling exercise triggered by traffic load anomalies in a fully automated and closed loop environment cost-effectively.

“We have a tremendous capability to provide automation over network infrastructure; physical, logical, and now virtualized,” says Tim Sebring, CEO, Dorado Software. Bringing the Sonus SBC under Dorado’s Redcell MANO Lifecycle Management, the firm is enabling CSPs to centrally manage, activate and orchestrate Sonus' virtual SBC.

“The benefits of virtualization include faster time-to-market, more responsiveness to dynamic network demands, and reduced service delivery costs. We are seeing many CSPs looking to take advantage of these benefits by virtualizing their networks, including their SBCs,” said John J. Grana, VP, Business Development, Sonus.
