PALO ALTO, CA: In an effort to further the future of business mobility, with innovative solutions, VMware, provider of cloud infrastructure and business mobility, has outlined a host of strategies to enable enterprises transform their business processes.

The main objective of VMware is to liberate businesses from client-server focused IT, which allowed mobile access to a limited number of productivity applications, to a more application centric experience.

Recently VMware announced its VMware Identity Manager to deliver Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) that will integrate with enterprise-class mobility management and security solution. VMware Identity Manager provides with a secure, one-touch access to web, mobile and windows applications. Through this solution, the management is given back to the IT with a central place to manage end user provisioning, access and compliance, identity federation and user analytics. VMware Identity Manager, offered as a cloud service or as an on-premises solution, can be used by other solutions like VMware vCloud Air to VMware v Realize.

The main features of VMware Identity Manager include One-Touch Single Sign-On to help streamline access. An Adaptive Access is provided between VMware Identity Manager and AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Management as an additional factor of authentication from enrolled devices. A Customizable and Context Aware HTML5 Application Portal provides employees with a more secure application, onboarding experience and an automated app provisioning. Enterprise-Class Infrastructure federates existing on-premises Microsoft Active Directory infrastructures to centralize end-user management.

VMware also announced that it is furthering its Apple and the iOS platform with the development of application configuration templates and vertical solutions, in industries like healthcare, airlines, education and others.

Along with these enhancements, VMware has now announced 15 new partners that will help in standardizing public applications and development in the enterprise with App Configuration for Enterprise (ACE), an open standard approach for managing and securing apps deployed through enterprise mobility management (EMM) solutions.

Moreover, VMware’s AirWatch has been made generally available. It supports AT&T Work Platform, a solution that enables businesses to separate personal and corporate voice, messaging and data usage, making costs more predictable. Through this support, customers will gain better control and insight into their telecom costs.

Therefore, with these measures, VMware plans to further its strategy for the future of business mobility.
