ThinkSmart-PrintReleaf's First Partner in Mexico
Sonora, Mexico: ThinkSmart, a leading consultant specialized in print services and document management located in Northern Mexico is now an authorized channel partner for the PrintReleaf Exchange (PRX), the first technology platform that allows cloud based forest product tracking and reforestation. While PrintReleaf’s patent pending software platform guarantees organizations to certifiably ‘releaf’ or ‘reforest’ all forest products consumed by its customers, the new venture will help them execute the same in an innovative and authentic way. According to sources, Printreleaf’s partnership with Thinksmart will promote sustainable business practices and reduce the environmental affects that can result from the use of forest products.
A patent-pending aggregating process is applied by Printreleaf’s PRX platform to measure paper consumption. The process utilizes automatic transmission of device and fleet data collected by a print management software on imaging devices for calculations. This allows end users to help neutralize paper waste, improve efficiency and certifiably participate in sustaining global forests. The end users reforest to compensate for their paper use by planting new trees at their choice of global reforestation project sites. After choosing the plant location, customers can use Printreleaf’s online portal to track the evolution, growth, and survival of the trees over an approximate eight-year time frame for each tree. Customers can also interface with heat map technology that represents forest loss and gain across the globe, showing them which areas the planet needs trees most by the PrintReleaf’s integration with Global Forest Watch.
“Our prospective and current customers see a true added value, differentiation and a way to take a commodity service and merge it with their current Environmental Projects and Social Responsibility, that is very unique,” said Jaime L Aguilar, Director. This partnership also provides THINK SMART S.A. DE C.V.’s customers with the choice of integrating social media, to automatically share monthly Twitter and Facebook announcements of releaf transactions that promote the active participation in sustainable business practices.
“Since the launch of PrintReleaf, the company has measured nearly 625 million pages and releafed over 75,000 trees” added Aguilar.
