OTTAWA, ON: In a move to make file transfers secure, fast and reliable, Unlimi- Tech Software, provider of managed file transfers, has integrated its FileCatalyst- an accelerated file transfer solution, with Apace.
Apace Systems, known for its wide range of media content workflows and management, through this partnership enables its customers to send files of any size and type, at speeds of up to 10Gbps. The integration between FileCatalyst with Apace Media storage cluster (vStor, eStor, CFM product lines) and Apace Media Asset Management (MAM), also called postMAM or production MAM, delivers an accelerated workflow between the two companies’ products.
With this collaboration, FileCatalyst server views Apace Storage servers as network mount points- a directory in a file system where additional information is logically connected from a storage location outside the operating system’s root drive and partition. In addition, the integration offers the flawless transfer of data between the Apace Storage and MAM layer to and from FileCatalyst for accelerated transport.
“FileCatalyst is excited to partner with Apace to provide accelerated file transfer alongside their storage and MAM solutions. FileCatalyst accelerated file transfer technology will help Apace users meet the increasing workflow demands of today’s media and broadcast companies,” says Alan Atkinson, VP of Business Development, Unlimi- Tech.
