SAN RAMON, CA: WANdisco, a provider of enterprise-ready, non-stop software solution teams up with Nokia to expand the use of WANdisco’s big data technology. The extension will offer continuous availability to optimize performance and scalability for its Subscriber Data Management (SDM) solution that is built on Hadoop to manage and streamline telecommunications.

Nokia subscribed to WANdisoc’s Fusion solution to culminate large number of data, previously stored in a different database. With this solution mobile carriers interact with a real-time application to perform activations for new customers.

"Implementing SDM on Hadoop was a big step forward in improving the user experience for our mobile carrier customers, as well as their end customers. However, we faced other significant challenges around the extreme levels of availability, performance and guaranteed real-time data consistency across locations that our customers required. No other solution we evaluated came close to WANdisco Fusion in meeting our requirements, as well as giving us the flexibility to move to different Hadoop platforms," explains Peter Kerekes, Customer Experience Management, Nokia Business PLM

WANdisco Fusion is a dynamic one stop solution which is adaptable and easy to deploy. It uses valid applications with latest Hadoop version; supports multiple storage environments including Oracle BDA, Cloudera, Hortonworks, Pivotal, IBM among the others, providing a competitive edge over the market.
