Economic downtime, tighter budgetary controls, increased oversight by watchdog organizations and rising citizen demands are raising new challenges for organizations in the Public sector. Leveraging its expertise to cater the information technology needs of county, city and state government’s core business functions is American Cadastre, LLC, d/b/a AMCAD—a software solutions and services provider for the public sector.

Headquartered in Herndon, VA, AMCAD specializes in automating the justice and records management ecosystem that includes courts, jails, prosecutors, probation, county clerks and recorders offices. “Public sector offices require comprehensive, integrated information management software and solutions,” says Rick Lowrey, CEO of AMCAD. Addressing this is AMCAD’s innovative suite of products and services including its integrated justice platform—a platform for government records and document management, and various data access technologies—which allow government offices to operate with enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.

AMCAD offers an extensive suite of Records and Document Management solutions including Land Records, Vital Records, Marriage Licensing, and Document Services to address the full life cycle of the recording and filing process. ROAM (Rapid Online Access Method) and ACCEPT (Automated Credit Card Electronic Processing Technology) are some of the key offerings of the firm.

Based on open industry standards, ROAM is a data search and data integration technology like an internet search engine that an integrate across multiple sources and can be tailored to meet client’s specific needs. ROAM’s technology provides instant access to data—either public or secure—stored in disparate backend systems. On the other hand, AMCAD’s ACCEPT electronic commerce solution enhances and enables state and local governments to collect fees for online data access, traffic violations, electronic filing of court documents, accessing government records, applying for licenses and depositing funds into a jail inmates trust account, and a variety of other transactions that previously required in person payment at a government office.

AMCAD’s biggest vision is to unite business operations to eliminate redundancy and improve access to information

Enabling these services with AMCAD’s ACCEPT electronic commerce solution significantly improves the quality of service while creating value to the government and constituent.

AMCAD boasts a national customer base with over 1,000 government agencies. Out of the many clients who have benefited from AMCAD is Arizona Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC). AOC was battling with disparate court case management technologies, lack of standardization of codes and business processes across multiple jurisdictions along with rapidly growing caseloads. Cases were filed across the State utilizing the same system but different codes and business processes, making accurate management and dissemination of data to external agencies almost impossible. AMCAD teamed with the Arizona AOC to resolve the challenges facing the Courts by installing the AMCAD integrated Case Management System (AiCMS) that utilizes Microsoft .Net technology. By streamlining functional business processes, the solution provided judiciary with timely, accurate accounts of case history, ensuring that the best interests of all parties were protected during the adjudication process.

“AMCAD’s vision is to unify operations to eliminate redundancy and improve access to information while delivering swift results using collaborative methods,” says Lowrey. Going forward, the company is committed to providing end to end solutions that improve efficiencies, meet clients’ policies and statutory compliance needs, and empower system ownership.
