Within the last several years, Broadridge expanded its offerings to the buy-side as well, and today Broadridge’s Investment Management Solutionsbusiness offers investment managers, global banks, broker-dealers and fund administrators comprehensive solutions for investment management, reference data and risk technology including enterprise-wide order management,portfolio management and reporting.

Unique to Broadridge is its offering that encompasses the whole gamut of risk, portfolio, credit, price, and security management solutions, facilitating exceptional investment management. Broadridge Risk Master enables buy- and sell-side firms to effectively manage,monitor and report on market and credit risk exposures for an entire range of portfolios and across virtually all asset classes. The solution has the ability to measure a whole portfolio or just part of a portfolio on an intraday or on-demand basis, which enables firms to actively understand and take action on their exposure to market and counterparty risk.

Recently, one of the buy-side clients of Broadridge was looking for consolidated sensitivities, Value-at-Risk, and scenario analysis all in one solution to enable them to reduce their number of software providers and thus cut down on their high IT infrastructure spend. Broadridge’s Order Management Solution helped the client improve operational efficiency and save a significant amount of capital in IT infrastructure. On the sell side, Broadridge helps clients by providing a range of solutions–recently, the firm helped one client provide risk analysis reporting to the hedge fund it services. Broadridge’s Risk Master Solution helped differentiate the client from its competitors and allowed them to create a separate revenue stream by providing risk reporting to their customers.

In the coming years, Broadridgeenvisions continuing development of cutting-edge, innovative and integrated risk management solutions. “We are investing heavily in visualization at the moment. We believe that the ability to visualize risk exposures and sensitivities aids to a great extent in making business decisions,” says Russell.
