Integrating a Secure Messaging Environment with Office 365

Organizations need to use secure messaging features, especially when exchanging sensitive information with customers. In its new market guide for Email Encryption, analyst firm Gartner highlights the need for messaging solutions that can support ease of use, large file transfer, integration with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and cloud-based encryption. Addressing the current need, Cirius Messaging offers a product suite that includes; secure messaging, large file transfer, secure web forms and e-signatures that help businesses protect and control email and important data. The company provides a true cloud-based solution that requires no configuration of existing email infrastructure, no MX records to transfer and no gateway to install and manage. “From the implementation side, the only requirement is an email account. Whether its Office 365 or any other provider, Cirius offers a completely integrated user experience that’s both easy to install and intuitive to use,” adds Lara.

As an example, Cirius helped a large government client securely share large amounts of sensitive case files between stakeholders in law enforcement, legal services and the coroner’s office. “With our assistance, the client was able to facilitate secure communication between internal users and unregistered external constituents to manage forms and share files,” says Lara.

Using the Delivery Slip that is embedded into every secure message, users can create an encrypted email on any device, add a 5GB file and obtain an e-signature from any and all recipients. Controls such as ReplyFreeze, ForwardFreeze and For Your Eyes Only – a message level password - can also be added.

After sending, users can track the message status in real time and completely recall and remove access to the message with the click of a button.

“Users can completely control a message and its attachments even after it has been sent and opened,” points out Lara. “We understand that customers use different devices to transfer messages so we offer users the ability to securely send, receive and track corporate email on any device, including smart phones and tablets.”

The company’s secure messaging suite integrates seamlessly with access control, security and electronic discovery solutions such as single sign on (SSO), data loss prevention (DLP) and data archiving. “We help organizations of all sizes by being a critical part of their overall data security strategy and supporting their need to be compliant with industry specific privacy regulations,” says Lara.

Office 365 is one of the fastest growing products in Microsoft’s history. In parallel, the market need for secure messaging is accelerating at a similar pace. “It’s not just for regulated industries anymore,” says Lara. “Companies in all market segments that are concerned about the fidelity of their brand need to look closely at how they are communicating with their clients, partners and staff.”

Looking ahead, Cirius is continuing to serve the evolving needs of their clients by adding new features such as; secure mass email campaigns and secure instant messaging in the near future.
