When it comes to defining and implementing a cloud strategy, EastBanc Technologies focuses on understanding and embracing clients’ needs and, where applicable, preferences for certain cloud providers. If the client doesn’t have a strategy in place, EastBanc Technologies helps formulate one based on needs, objectives, and market trends. “We have noticed lately that clients do not want to be vendor-locked and tend to look at deploying multiple cloud providers—be it Microsoft, Amazon, Google, or others. The other prominent trend is Cloud-Native, which enables businesses to deploy their cloud applications anywhere they want—through the cloud service provider of their choice,” Shashkin explains.
“As an IT consultancy company, we tackle complicated challenges with sophisticated solutions,” says Peter Shashkin, Director of Solutions, EastBanc Technologies"
EastBanc Technologies also advises clients on how they can build robust and sophisticated solutions leveraging mainstream technologies like typical cloud solutions, PaaS, and IaaS. “We guide our clients to build and maintain the capability of deploying their apps on a virtual machine, PaaS like Azure web application, as a container to an app service or Kubernetes, or even at their data centers and hybrid cloud environments,” Shashkin comments.
In another instance, EastBanc Technologies helped government in Montgomery County, MD develop and implement a completely new, and significantly more efficient, model for snow removal. The result: Optimized snowplow operations allowed roads to be cleared faster, thus limiting the impact of inclement weather on daily life and business in the county. The solution is built on TERRAiQ—EastBanc Technologies’ cloud-based IoT platform that uses real-time mobile tracking to power vehicle and asset management solutions. This system, which Shashkin describes as an "Uber-like model for snow removal," enabled citizens to simply attach a snowplow to their car and then download a mobile app to become a part of the government fleet to clean snow on the streets. It eliminated the need for extra workforce, reduced idle time significantly and saved local government from expensive contracts while equipping citizens to partake in the snow-removal endeavor. “Montgomery County government was able to take advantage of new advancements in technology, such as cloud and mobile devices, for an efficient clean-up after the storm,” Shashkin notes.

EastBanc Technologies creates innovative and flexible technology solutions that increase efficiency and maximize value.
Alongside mobile asset management, which is all about building business processes around moving objects like buses, taxis, and other vehicles, EastBanc Technologies has recently introduced solutions for moving people. For instance, the company has built a TERRAiQ-based application for tracking inspectors spread across the city and sending them assignments and tasks. “We are constantly looking for more opportunities to build solutions on our TERRAiQ platform to collect GPS data from the field and convert that into value for our customers. We also focus on leveraging technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence to provide enhanced business processes, mobile applications, and even data analysis reporting,” Shashkin concludes.
