In a supplier’s front office, Edisoft consolidates the user’s Cloud, or on-premise, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) services. Users can access incoming and outgoing purchase order information through a single portal with no re-keying of data between the EDI portal and the ERP. Through this consolidation, Edisoft delivers both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) EDI services, eliminating the need to manually enter EDI order information into any 3rd party B2C EDI services, like Commerce Hub or Vendor Net.

Takhar points out that Edisoft’s unique competitive advantage vis-a-vis other solution providers is its end-to-end configurable Sage ERP sales order optimization that supports both EDI and eCommerce purchase orders, while also providing a wide range of vendor compliance and warehouse fulfillment options. This effectively future proofs the Edisoft customer’s investment. With such capabilities, Edisoft is making a huge impact in various industries, including consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, apparel, footwear, publishing and non-prescription healthcare.

A case in point, J-B Weld: a US-based supplier of epoxy products, approached Edisoft because it was experiencing substantial non-compliance chargebacks for shipments with a number of retail trading partners. These would only be resolved by verifying and validating the contents of all the shipments leaving their Sulphur Springs, Texas facility. By integrating Edisoft’s warehouse automation module and carrier management option with J-B Weld’s existing Sage accounting software, they were able to resolve a number of automation gaps and compliance challenges. While this allowed them to successfully meet the needs of their trading partners, they were also able to reduce both their operational and EDI transactional costs. This engagement with Edisoft allowed J-B Weld to both improve their supply chain performance and leverage prior investments made with Sage and Edisoft, thus future-proofing J-B Weld’s supply chain investments.
