In one instance, First Team Cyber worked with a county that obtained a government grant for vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation services. Given today's fiscal realities, cyber teams often suffer from budget crunches and are understaffed with the need for expanding performance requirements. While all vendors take the same time for data gathering, the First Team Cyber process provides greater value through automated processing and report generation to deliver a more comprehensive report at approximately 50 percent cost reduction. In addition, by maximizing automation and technology, it enables remote data collection without relying upon on-site personnel.

First Team Cyber conducted a vulnerability assessment, a pen test, and a wireless assessment for the mid-sized mid-west county. Upon initial scan, it identified almost 20,000 vulnerabilities. Using First Team Cyber's proprietary technology to blend dissimilar data sets for more accurate reporting, the assessment generated reports using five categories: supercritical, critical, high, medium, and low. Three months later, First Team Cyber rescanned and provided updated reports in a trending format. The second set showed six new vulnerabilities not present before, a reduction from 20,000 vulnerabilities to fewer than 8,000 (fully documented), and it updated information on all the systems, software, and services installed. The final report gave them 46 detailed pages of a document that provided a roadmap for remediation services to address each issue and meet their cybersecurity needs.
