Driving the Virtual Workforce Revolution

Technology is slowly, but definitely, replacing human labor. Large-scale industrial automation has been around for years, especially in the manufacturing industry where processes tend to be repetitive and require automation. However, there is still a long way to go before ‘metallic office mates’ eclipse their human counterparts. A major segment of the business world today still relies on cumbersome and time-consuming legacy tools and manual operations that are ineffective in maximizing operational efficiency. Business sectors like banking, insurance, and utilities perform repetitive tasks and process huge volumes of data every day. Considering this accelerated generation of data, there is a need to identify areas with intensive use of manual processes and effectively replace them with automation for better and faster outcomes. “By automating and streamlining IT support processes, workflows, remote infrastructure, and back-office operations, enterprises can achieve increased efficiency and enhanced productivity,” explains James Hall, Founder and CEO, Genfour.

This opens the door to the world of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology. “RPA automates workplace operations with robots handling repeated tasks while the other personnel focus on critical customer facing issues,” adds Hall. The concept of RPA might sound like introducing humanoids into the office, but the reality is different. Deploying RPA in a business does not include any physical robots, but rather software that mimics human actions when directed to carry out a process. Genfour wraps the RPA technology as a service and assists clients in developing their own robotic process automation capability. The company’s digital workforce provides a cost-effective, efficient, and flexible approach to optimize and improve both front- and back-office processes. Pioneering the concept of Robots as a Service, Genfour assesses the areas where automation can be injected and offers its virtual workforce to schedule and manage key business processes. Genfour RPA integrates robots with a client’s workforce, speeding up the business processes, reducing errors, and increasing productivity. “Also, this integration is far more economical than hiring an offshore human equivalent,” adds Hall. The company works in partnership with robotic automation software vendors like Blue Prism, UiPath and Celaton to deliver an automation solution that can be deployed in less than six weeks.

The RPA platform from Genfour is a strategic solution that supports legacy systems, while meeting the compatibility issues between newly deployed and existing systems in a business. The Genfour RPA platform deploys robots in the cloud-for a switch on / switch off virtual workforce. The company’s RPA logs into a system as an employee to interact and work with the Graphics User Interface (GUI) and the web services layer. Most of the banks and utilities companies today continue functioning with slow and expensive legacy systems. Genfour’s RPA software automates and accelerates transaction processing and problem solving, while streamlining workflows and even searching for potential customers.

NHS Scotland for Diabetic Retinopathy Screening sought out Genfour for an efficient administration to maintain the analysis of eye imagery and reports. In addition, they also needed to interface the current screening system with the new automated grading system. Subsequently, the client deployed Genfour’s automation solution to achieve flexibility and scalability within its service delivery system. Genfour’s RPA assisted NHS Scotland to attain increased daily throughput and efficiency. “We also gave them the flexibility to quickly deploy an additional RPA when needed, to help manage the increased workload—at minimal cost,” states Hall.

The experienced team at Genfour is dedicated to revamp business processes by utilizing a virtual workforce. Moving toward the age of robots, the company currently plans to develop its technology with a proposition to expand in the West.
