IDE Corp is a leader in visioning, designing and implementing instructional and organizational models that bring in the change, which is contextual, linked closely to the local culture

Known nationally for her work in designing “Learning Active, Technology-Infused Classrooms”, IDE Corp. President and Founder Dr. Nancy Sulla’s concept places students at the center of the learning environment, move teachers from the front of the room to sitting alongside students, while addressing three key goals of the student’s engagement, responsibility for learning and academic rigor. The snapshot of this concept translates to students not watching the clock or wanting to leave. This methodology calls for a radical change in redesigning the classrooms in a more meaningful and powerful way.

Educational change, as defined by Ron Heifetz falls into two categories, technical and adaptive. Examples of technical change, wherein the required changes are relatively easy, include using rubrics, writing high-quality test questions, designing tiered-lessons for differentiation, and utilizing varied questioning techniques.

Adaptive change requires people to think differently about how they go about doing their work, to shift their belief systems to develop new models. Web 2.0 tools based training for teachers and administrators demonstrate its usability in their own work, providing a rich, interactive and collaborative environment.

The role of an instructional strategies specialist is to provide inspiration, training, resources, and support to educators in rethinking and reinventing instruction. True instructional change comes from a shift in belief systems. The leadership at IDE Corp strives to ensure high quality service, instructional innovation, effective communication, and operational efficiency by cultivating an organizational culture that values collaboration and collective knowledge acquisition. All problem based learning units are revised to align with the common core state standards and all instructional planning tools are aligned with four of the popular teacher evaluation rubrics, Danielson, Marshall, Marzano, and Stronge. IDE Corp views schools through four component lenses: Structures, Culture, Curriculum, and Pedagogy, each being able to advance the other three. The teacher evaluation process can be a powerful tool in continually advancing a school’s pedagogy.

Students are able to reach their highest potential when they follow an individual learning curve. It is about chartering their own goals, scheduling time and utilizing resources, sharing information and ideas to design, improve and figure out the best way to outsmart the presented problem. With IDE Corp’s Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, teachers design materials for different students, based on their individual needs and learning styles. IDE Corp. focuses on helping educators embrace a problem based approach to curriculum and instruction with the belief that the designed curriculum must have access for all in mind, with multiple means of representation of content, multiple means of expression and multiple means of engagement and action.

Exponential times in education benefit from the consultancy services of IDE Corp, in organizational design for small or professional learning communities, leadership models and evaluation instruments. It’s global transition invoking one’s inner wizard. IDE Corp is a leader in visioning, designing and implementing instructional and organizational models that bring in the change, which is contextual, linked closely to the local culture.
