The FDA was looking to introduce stricter regulations around vaping—the inhaling of vapor created by an e-cigarette or other vaping devices.The agency needed to review vaping products for scientific and legal compliance and, partnered with iDox to design and develop an application that brought all requests, applications, and justifications under one roof and routed them for approval/rejection. Tasked with creating a minimum viable product (MVP) within six months, iDox applied OpenText ECM for information storage and the AppWorks low-code development platform toroute requests. iDox developed the MVP in the AWS cloud, scaled it to FDA’s needs, and further, when a new requirement popped up, enhanced the existing application with the OpenText Workflow software.

BesidesFDA, iDox has delivered over one hundred solutions and systemssince its inception in 2002, predominantly serving federal agencies. The company’s clientele also consists of state, local, and commercial organizations, but its primary focus is the federal government.
