Through the Ithos Information Network (IIN), a proprietary web-based platform, clients can upload and manage their product information, assess compliance in more than 50 countries and complete reporting requirements such as authoring Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Product Information Files (PIF). Ithos provides flexible applications, specializing in integration with existing client systems through Ithos Connect, including ERP and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

“Located near some prominent academic institutions specializing in technology-related engineering programs such as Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, we have developed a team of highly skilled software developers and regulatory content architects,” says Bubeck, adding that the range of staff expertise includes Java, DotNet, VB.net, SQL and non-relational full-text searching technologies.

Ithos works closely with client IT departments to implement the IIN for uploading and managing supplier data for in-house regulatory risk product assessments. The IIN also helps client staff write labels, create SDS forms and keep current on quarterly regulatory updates for dozens of countries and multi-country jurisdictions such as EU (Europe), ASEAN (South- East Asia) and Mercosur (South America).

With strong experience in the regulatory compliance industry, the Ithos team manages and integrates with clients’ enterprise data management systems for accurate and up-to-date information. In addition, the IIN allows for full-text search functionality, a more effective approach to finding relevant information for the user.

“Full-text search is important to note because it provides a flexible methodology to access regulatory information in the IIN,” Bubeck explains. “It allows for finding the right data in the context of the user. In addition, there’s even an artificial intelligence capability within our application enabling automated hit improvement for each new search.”

Ithos manages and supports a state-of-the-art SDS authoring solution for DuBois, a manufacturer of cleaning products and solvents. Using the Ithos Information Network, DuBois efficiently creates and tracks detailed information, which enhances transparency and visibility among customers seeking more sustainable products. In addition, the company can better substantiate its marketing claims for its customers, stakeholders and the general public.

For Tech International, a global supplier of tire repair systems containing adhesives and various chemicals, Ithos organized the company’s project data from its ERP system to fit compliance needs. Labeling templates were created and the transfer of product data-associated sentences was integrated with the company’s labeling system in 35 different languages. Ithos integrated Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restrictions of Chemicals (REACH) and the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) requirements.
