Logicata's AWS Managed Service, Logicata InfrAssure, ensures the availability and performance of applications and the optimization of the AWS environment. Logicata monitors customer systems, with alerts coming through to the Logicata support team 24x7x365. This enables the company to proactively remediate any issue before it affects clients' business operations. "We are well-positioned to help clients at any stage of AWS adoption—no matter whether they are completely new to the cloud, experimenting with Proof of Concepts, or just needing a little extra help with existing production workloads running on AWS," Robinson elucidates.

By closely analyzing our clients' AWS account data, Logicata is able to ensure that costs are optimized by removing unused infrastructure, rightsizing the remaining infrastructure, and ensuring that customers are leveraging the best purchasing plans such as reserved instances or compute savings plans. “Logicata also constantly checks our customer's AWS environments against hundreds of best practice checks, flagging a red, amber or green status for each. It enables Logicata support to rapidly focus on areas of concern and set remediation plans," says Robinson. In addition to the best practice checks, there is also a broad suite of compliance checks where Logicata compares its clients' AWS configuration against many global compliance standards such as PCI DSS, ISO27001, SOC2, and HIPAA.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Logicata have been able to rapidly respond to customers’ urgent demand. For instance, at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Charanga—an award-winning modern-day music resource for teaching music to primary school children—saw a 300 percent increase in online users of their service.

It was easy for Charanga to scale up their infrastructure as the capacity was readily available from AWS.

But, this increased demand presented certain resource challenges that demanded proper attention. Rather than having key development resources tied up with infrastructure management, Charanga decided to outsource the management of their AWS infrastructure to Logicata.

Logicata onboarded the Charanga AWS Infrastructure into its InfrAssure AWS managed service offering. It was able to integrate with the existing Charanga monitoring tools to provide 24x7 incident response and support. "Additionally, we integrated our cost optimization and security posture management solutions" Robinson mentions. Furthermore, Logicata was able to include several DevOps projects into the continuous improvement element of its managed service, including infrastructure as code automation with AWS CloudFormation and autoscaling of the Charanga EC2 fleet which saved time for Charanga’s precious internal developers.

These instances of client success always drive Logicata to find new avenues for serving their clients better. Striding ahead, the company will expand into the U.S. market in 2021 and enhance its service offerings to better support its clients. In the long run, Logicata aims to emerge as the one-stop-shop for AWS customers by not only providing migration and managed services but software development services as well.
