MasterLink’s key value proposition includes easy and intelligent control of integrative projects by monitoring links and performing inter-project integration in real-time. It provides an online view of changes and alerts when there is a miss-match between connected projects. The unique work-package links supported by the MasterLink enables better collaboration between project managers and PMOs and quickly identify gaps and risks which allow to take immediate action. “Masterlink can bring out collaboration even with external projects plan managed by sub-contractors,” extols Alon Segall, CEO, Matan Consulting.
Matan has developed MasterLink to effortlessly integrate into Microsoft Project Server. “MasterLink is a natural enhancement to the multi-project capabilities of Microsoft Project Server,” says Segall. MasterLink dramatically improves Microsoft’s program capability to plan a more accurate and realistic project management strategy. “Project managers can create various types of links from their project plan to other projects, and analyze the impact on the entire program status. In addition, they can break down their program into work packages for easy execution” he adds.
Matan is a proud recipient of Microsoft Gold Partner status which demonstrates the company’s commitment to Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM) and the use of the Microsoft PPM suite of tools. “Throughout our years of activity, we were chosen time and again by Microsoft to implement MS Project beta versions, from the release of the first version in 2002 until the current version” says Segall.

The company finds traction across various industry verticals such as High Tech, Aerospace and Defense, Government, Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare, where the needs to manage cross projects dependencies is a common practice. “We can also see a recent demand in the Government/Public and Service sectors where the projects are complex and spread into different locations, divisions and sub-contractors,” says Segall. In one instance, at Shire Pharmaceutical, a global specialty biopharmaceutical company, MasterLink was chosen to help project management control and manage their complex programs and integrated projects in their R&D. “Overall, the time to open projects decreased by over 75 percent on average. It is clear that MasterLink provides the project managers a large benefit,” said Kevin Doyle, Associate Director, Schedule and Resource Decision Analytics-Shire.
Ira Brown, CEO of Project Widgets who implemented MasterLink at Shire adds: “I highly recommend MasterLink for any organization that depends upon effective project communication between program level plans and detailed projects. As a partner, Matan supports my implementations every step of the way to maximize the benefits of their product, ensuring the complete satisfaction of my customers..”
As a roadmap, Matan has expanded to Global markets in the last few years and opened a US office to support its customers. “We concentrate on marketing our solutions and expect to increase our presents with more fortune 1000 companies,” says Segall. In terms of the next big thing, Matan is planning to increase its product line with more applications that can support Microsoft Project online and of course keep MasterLink the leading solution in the multi project and program management sector
