ConfigSnapshot – A Perfect Companion for the Oracle E-Business

By developing ConfigSnapshot, which is a comprehensive and flexible configuration management software product for the Oracle E-Business Suite, the firm has been enabling organizations of all sizes to successfully execute configuration management and governance, risk and control with reduced time and risk and helping lower implementation, support and upgrade costs. The ability of the product to accurately compare those setups across different instances further reduces the efforts required. In addition to managing configured setups it is possible to have planned setups even before deployment, enabling customers to review their position in terms of implementing new systems or extending their existing ones. Organizations upgrading the Oracle E-Business Suite from 11i to Release 12 often have customized the applications and face a huge problem identifying these customizations accurately and managing them. ConfigSnapshot is able automatically detect these customizations, both database and file system, and can then analyze the impact of the upgrade right down to the code level, thus enabling customers to have a register of what their customizations are, and of what type, along with the necessary information to be able to remediate them to ensure they continue to operate correctly it the upgraded environment.

In the longer run, the firm is considering extending its products across other Oracle solutions, such as Fusion and JD Edwards. As well as hundreds of end user organizations who use the product worldwide across 30 different countries Rookery Software works with approximately 50 implementers and system integrators who use the software as part of their methodologies to deliver the best results for their customers .
