SAIT Services:An Extension of Your IT Workforce

Robert Hosea, CIO
For over 24 years, SAIT Services has delivered outsourced IT support services via a direct employed staff of over 300 IT professionals nationwide. Services include product management, solution architecture, and field technical support. In addition, their partnership with Microsoft helps them to provide customized solutions with the right combination of tools to meet the client’s needs. SA IT Services possesses skills across most OEM platforms to address and resolve problems in any environment.

Robert Hosea, CIO, SAIT Services says, “Our clients’ biggest challenges are the ever-changing landscape of Microsoft products; getting full value from their technology investments; and the lack of budget to staff a skilled IT engineering team,” explains Hosea.

Other challenges faced by their mid-sized Microsoft customers are: keeping up with the modernization of IT; managing legacy systems blended with private cloud infrastructure; understanding systems management best practices; understanding the latest cloud solutions; and managing the identity across BYOD while maintaining security, data retention, and compliance.

“Our highly skilled solution architects and engineers are Microsoft solutions experts able to understand the full scope of the project’s goals,” claims Hosea. The company’s core focus is on System Center Configuration Manager and Operation Manager, Microsoft Azure, Windows Intune, Windows 7/8 Desktop OS imaging, Windows Server 2012 OS, Microsoft App-V and Application Remediation, Microsoft SQL and other Microsoft system management software products to provide professional services like OS Imaging, Unified Communications, Identity Management, Data Center and Private/Public Cloud management.

We provide highly skilled Microsoft experts who understand the full scope of the project’s goals

Unlike their competitors, SA is a pure services provider, able to focus on building solutions while other competitors are chasing hardware vendor revenue requirements. Hosea elaborates, “We are more than just a Microsoft Partner. We are an approved service vendor for Microsoft, and the Microsoft account teams rely on us to help their customers with a best practice implementation plan and onsite installation. We also help deploy large regional solutions while allowing the customer to maintain control of the project. To provide the best services, we have our architecture and engineering teams geographically dispersed.”

At one instance, Stockton Unified School District was facing problems in updating its student computers. Within seven days, SA deployed approximately 4,500 notebooks. “We got a turnkey imaging solution for our teachers. They simply turn on the notebook and it automatically establishes wireless network connectivity. The device is then automatically configured with Windows 7 before joining our Active Directory domain. The notebooks run our software flawlessly,” says Robert Torres, Chief Technology Officer, SUSD.

Moving forward, SA has plans to innovate around new technologies. “We have been a major contributor into a revolutionary cloud encryption software solution that will roll out through the Microsoft Product Suite by the 4th Quarter of 2014.

We believe that this new approach to security will modernize data security and bring new capabilities through cloud services,” reveals Hosea. Talking on the most exciting upcoming Microsoft products, Hosea says, “Microsoft has already established the next generation of platforms; now it’s time to make the move to Microsoft Cloud services.”

For a healthy and vibrant company, Hosea recommends non-biased treatment of employees. “To reach goals, an open atmosphere must exist. Honest feedback creates short-term pain, but ultimately opens the door for long-term successes,” he concludes.
