Unlocking Corporate Knowledge and Expertise

Senexx

CIO Vendor Many times in business, the simple answer to a question is right in front of you. How many times have you turned to that co-worker who always knows how to fix your computer, but her job is actually in a different domain? You drop them an email and ten minutes later the problem is solved. It is a secret that you know, but it was never intended to be a secret.

Senexx, which translates to "The wise old man" knows this secret and has pounced on it to convert opportunity into a business. This Israeli born company has now expanded its reach to the U.S.. Based in Palo Alto, Senexx recently announced SolvePath, an enterprise questions-and-answers collaboration platform that is designed to give quick, easy access to knowledge and expertise within an organization. SolvePath uses a machine learning algorithms to provide a targeted solution to information consumption.

SolvePath: Solving the Problem

SolvePath enables users to ask questions in their natural languages explore topics and find experts directly from their organization's existing e-mail, instant messaging or internal social networks. In addition, SolvePath also integrates with popular social business networks such as Yammer, with which the company has a technology partnership, and LinkedIn. Senexx also offers custom integrations with other leading CRM, knowledge management and social business software platforms.

Further, claims Zeevi Michel, Co-founder and CEO at Senexx, knowledge-routing algorithms find the most reliable answers for each question and immediately notify internal experts who can provide further guidance on specific topics. SolvePath automatically tags questions and answers, updates internal expert rankings and can quickly update expert profiles by connecting to LinkedIn and Yammer profiles. The result is an easy-to-use solution that provides immediate business benefits across a wide range of corporate functions such as sales, pre-sales, customer support, professional services and more.

Senexx: The Idea

Senexx has some pretty impressive pedigree behind it. It is based on methods used by the Israeli Army's near-infamous 8-200 intelligence unit.

The obvious barrier to entry here is one of trust. Employees do not want to feel like they are being watched, especially without good reason. Mr. Zeevi believes that this is actually a selling point for Senexx.

"The technology can understand unstructured data from any system that captures it. We are using sophisticated technology to provide an easy solution," says Zeevi.

In the future, the technology behind Senexx will be able to go into a much broader scale. Imagine for a moment that your HR department could turn to Senexx reports from your company's Yammer logs to analyze sentiment for specific topics. There is a lot of potential there, and Senexx is fast tracking towards bringing it all to light.
