The commoditization of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and the rise of generative AI are increasing power demands and challenging traditional air cooling methods. Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), the primary chips for AI and machine learning (ML), accelerate computational processes for AI applications and generate significant heat that requires efficient cooling. For clients with substantial AI demands, dedicated data centers ensure optimal accommodation for their cooling needs.

In terms of Capital Expenditure (CapEx), leased data centers typically cost approximately $10 to $12 million per megawatt. In contrast, ServerDomes’ approach reduces the cost to eight to nine million dollars per megawatt, making it an attractive option for businesses seeking to optimize their CapEx utilization.

ServerDomes’ data centers have the flexibility to accommodate high-density and low-density compute units together, eliminating the need for extensive capacity planning, a common concern in other data centers. Equipment placement is streamlined to ensure uniform cooling, eliminating the need for meticulous selection of equipment locations. This allows ServerDomes to focus on finding the best solutions to meet clients’ needs.

ServerDomes is currently integrating liquid cooling technology into its data centers to further enhance efficiency. With a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.13, the addition of liquid cooling is expected to significantly improve the PUE. ServerDomes’ cooling system can successfully operate in approximately 90 percent of the world. To cover the remaining 10 percent, the company plans to implement additional technologies, such as DX cooling and liquid cooling, in its data centers.
