Fortunately, SHELT’s 24/7 SOC and REVA digital risk protection services were in place. While it cannot prevent clients from clicking phishing emails, REVA’s additional layer of protection proved invaluable in identifying unusual activity quickly. It detected the ATOs by scanning the dark web and forums for leaked and suspicious activity. Upon receiving the ATO attempt alert, SHELT promptly informed the bank’s security department, providing full details about the threat source and the affected client accounts. The bank swiftly locked the compromised accounts and restricted transactions, mitigating the risk before significant damage occurred.
