Streamlining Healthcare Workflows to Augment Care Delivery

Altus

Clinicians devote their time to serving patients to the best of their abilities. However, inefficient healthcare workflows often force them to spend more time on nonvalue- added tasks, like data entry and hauling medical equipment across hospital floors, leading to a decline in the quality of delivered care.

Altus, a MedTech solutions provider, is changing this narrative by improving healthcare workflows to help clinicians seamlessly deliver the highest standards of care with portable medical carts. Its line of innovative, AI-enabled, ergonomically designed medical workstations-on-wheels for medication dispensing, telehealth, and electronic medical records (EMR) maintenance create comfortable workspaces for healthcare professionals. It improves care delivery by saving time and resources and relieving clinicians from performing non-value-added tasks.

“Our mobile workstations help bring healthcare providers closer to their patients, improve workflows and enhance care delivery,” says Jeremy Spinney, CEO of Altus.

It offers battery and non-battery-powered laptop, telehealth, AI-enabled, and medication delivery, LCD, and kidney carts. The portfolio also includes bedside wall mounts to provide on-spot care with flexibility. From accessing and updating patients’ records to transporting medicines and medical equipment across hospital floors, Altus’s carts save time and energy for healthcare providers and allow them to attend to more patients. The ergonomic design ensures that clinicians can comfortably operate the devices and update patient EMRs while providing care.

The portfolio includes workstations that are integrated with AI and IoT that can provide the location and other crucial data to caregivers. They are customizable to fit a customer’s unique workflow, budget, and even the floor design of a healthcare facility. This is made possible through accessories that can be configured by a client. Altus’s tailored approach is built upon a solid understanding of client requirements gathered through trained customer managers.

Altus has become the provider of choice for many clients across the care continuum, from physician offices and surgical centers to healthcare facilities looking to implement telehealth solutions. A recent large health system client needed help finding a custom solution to streamline their Telesitting and two-way video patient monitoring workflow. Altus gained insights into their challenges through its customer managers and overcame them by designing a custom telehealth delivery solution working closely with their software partners.

Another client sought to optimize workflows within their hospital focused on AI based Fall Prevention within Epic eCAL. In response, Altus’s skilled engineering and operations teams developed mobile workstations with edge AI and linked them to a centralized data center, helping them streamline healthcare workflows.

Altus is currently adding new features to its carts and workstations to help healthcare professionals become more proactive in care delivery. It is partnering with asset-tracking technology providers to expand the existing mesh network of centrally connected mobile carts. This partnership is paving the way for an all-inclusive solution with superior workstation tracking abilities, including workflow management in physicians’ offices, acute care and surgery centers, and long-term care facilities.

Driven to provide top-notch healthcare delivery services, Altus continues to develop its product portfolio to cover the entire healthcare continuum. The ability of its medical carts and workstations to streamline and augment care delivery makes it a must-have for healthcare facilities.
